Starting to Show...and feel better

Well, praise God! I am not worshipping the toilet as much anymore. In fact, I think it's been a week since I've yacked. I was kind of hoping it would taper off a few weeks ago (I'm 16 1/2 weeks along), but hey...better late than never.

Heartburn and acid reflux are now my companions...along with my bottle of Tums + Calcium.

My belly is starting to poke out, and I've invested in some maternity clothing that should get me through the next few months, hopefully. I'm ready to stop looking like I've just gained 10 pounds and start looking pregnant.

Exercising is hard to do with school, work, church, volunteering, sleeping, spending time with B when we find a few minutes, etc...it's become low on the totem pole, but I'm trying to make some time for it a couple times a week.

We go on March 8th to find out if it's a boy or girl berry. Hopefully I can post the ultrasound then, too so you can meet him or her for the first time. We haven't had any ultrasounds yet, so it will be our first time to see the little tyke.

This may not be the most exciting post, but I thought I'd put something up just to give you a little update.

Also in the Berry life:
We're closing on and moving into our new home on Feb. 28! Can't wait to decorate and get settled!

I'm finishing my term for Fuller on March 16th (hopefully). I have 5 Masters classes to finish by then, so I need major prayers in order to get it done (the normal load is 3...for all you Furmanites, you know how that system works...think of it on steroids and that's what I'm dealing with until St. Patty's day).

Brandon spoke at a weekend retreat in Georgia last weekend, and will be going up to Boone for another ministry engagement in March. It's really been fun to see him prepare and deliver some great sermons.

We're in the discussion of getting a puppy...what do you think? should we get it before the baby and try to train it, or should we wait a while after the baby is born and then go for it? Any of you animal owners/parents, we'd love your input, as we're kind of clueless what would be best.

I am thrilled to hear that you are feeling better. My "morning" sickness lasted way longer than I wanted in both pregnancies! 20 to 30 weeks was really fun for me both times though.

Thanks for the awesome comment on my blog! I needed some sweet Coley wisdom.

As far as the puppy thing goes, I would advise waiting. It was so hard for Gracie to adjust to all of a sudden having much less attention than before (this was true after Joshua AND Jaden's births.) After taking care of baby and hubby, it may be awhile before you have much time left to give a puppy any attention. Just my opinion, though :)

I can't wait to see that ultrasound shot! Oh, and I would love to reassure you about pregnancy and delivery if I can (did both Joshua and Jaden's births without drugs, so I can give encouragement!)

Take care of yourself!
